I cannot express enough how important blog writing is for your SEO, rankings and for making your monthly marketing simple.
Blog-Block is real.
One of the things that have come up over and over again, over my years of helping small business, is intense anxiety about blog writing. They don't feel like good enough writers, they don't know what to talk about, they don't want the pressure of having to sit down in front of the computer and doing it. I know it can be one of those things you hit a hard block over, the weight in your chest builds and you can't even face your computer.
I get it, I feel like that sometimes too and I certainly have my share of procrastination methods. But I'm not here to share my procrastination techniques. I'm here to share my tips for rolling your sleeves up and getting ready to muck in.
I have a couple of solutions that might help you get over your writers block when it comes to blog writing:
Have a think about the most important topic that you want your clients to know about (whether that's FAQs, your business, yourself, issues related to your business) and then talk at your phone camera for 15 minutes about that topic, transcribe that into a blog.
What is the thing that you could talk about for hours if someone is foolish enough to get you started? Start writing what the thing is, why you love it so much and instead of worrying about what words you're putting down on the page, pretend you're sending it in a text message or on messenger to your mate who has no clue but actually wants to know about it.
Install Grammarly. Trust me. I have a first class honours degree in English and Grammarly changed my life.
